Our Services

Hunter Carers fosters community inclusion as we recognise that people with an intellectual disability have the same rights as all members of our society. With 27 staff, Hunter Carers currently services 14 residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the three homes. Hunter Carers has seven transport vehicles consisting of Hi-ace disability transporter, a nine-seater van and five smaller cars.

  • Support Coordination
  • Assistance in coordinating or managing life stages, transitions and supports
  • Assistance with daily life tasks in a group home or shared living arrangement;
  • Participation in community, social and civic activities;
  • Development of daily living and life skills;
  • Assistance with travel/transport arrangements;
  • Training for independence in travel and transport.

Our accommodation service is governed by a Board of Directors which employs a CEO/Service Coordinator, Program Officer and 24 hour Support Staff.
